Big night against HHS
Both, JV and Varsity won their games against HHS last Friday, 3/10. JV had another solid performance and beat HHS, 2-0.
On the big Derby of the night, although Varsity didn't have a great game technically, the boys were hungry to win the game. HHS scored first, but Grissom found his way back to the game at the end of the half. Wendell Giolo tied the game after a perfect cross from Peter Anthony. The late goal changed the dynamic of the match. The Tigers came back to the second half playing better and smarter. The pressure paid-off early in the second half when Wendell Giolo scored again off a corner kick taken by Peter Anthony. Final Grissom 2 HHS 1. That was the first area game of the season.
Grissom is now #10 in the AL Class 7A ranking with a 7-3-0 record.
