Grissom 2, Dickson County TN 1; Snodgrass saves Grissom

Grissom defeated the Dickson County Cougars 2-1 at the Southern Soccer Challenge, but it took an acrobatic save by Kai Snodgrass in the shootout stage.  Grissom took an early lead when Jordan Eutsey finished a Ben Smith corner in the 12th minute.  That lead would stand until the 30th minute of the second half, but the Cougars loan goal was enough to send the game into overtime.  The score remained tied after two five minutes periods, leading to the shootout stage.  Trey Pinke, Jordan Eutsey, Andre Potts, James Balogun, and Sammy Kim successfully eluded the Cougar keeper. Kai Snodgrass made two saves, the second a diving, foot save that kept Grissom alive.  The celebration ensued when the final Cougar kick sailed over the cross bar.  Grissom advances to face Memphis University School, a 7-3 winner over Valley View, Arkansas.
