Grissom 4, Gadsden City 1: Guzman goal ignites Tigers
Grissom defeated Gadsden 4-1 on another rainy night at Grissom High School. Martin Guzman scored in the first minute assisted by Fin Bjelke. Not to be outdone, Aiden Cleary scored two minutes later with the help of a Ben Smith through ball. Bjelke scored his 12th goal of the season in the 17th minute to make the score 3-0 before the sparse crowd had settled in. Grissom and Gadsden traded goals in the second half. Peter Anthony assisted James Balogun, who netted his 7th of the season, for the fourth Grissom goal. Grissom had 23 shots on the night with 13 on goal and 11 corner kicks. Gadsden had 11 shots, 9 on goal, with 6 corners. Grissom moves to 4-1 in area play with Hewitt-Trussville remaining on Wednesday.
