Grissom 4, Gadsden City 1: Tigers move to 2-0 in Area 7
Grissom defeated Gadsden City 4-1 Tuesday night at Gadsden High School. Sean Farkas scored at the 9:48 mark of the first half off of a Ben Smith corner. Minutes later, Peter Anthony earned a foul in the box leading to a Smith PK. Prior to the half, Gadsden sent a free kick over the outstretched arms of goalie Kai Snodgrass to narrow the margin to 2-1. Grissom controlled play in the second half with two goals. Fin Bjelke headed another Smith corner into the net, and Wendell Giolo dribbled through the Titan defense and added the final goal. Grissom ended with 23 shots and 11 corners to Gadsden's 3 shots and 2 corners.
